Conversation

Part 1

Examiner

Are there any rules for students at your school?

Candidate

Of course there are there are so many rules for seasons at my own school. Take me as an example. Now I am studying in university and I am a sophomore year students in university. There is a very strict roles in my university that all students cannot having a drug something like that. That is a role for students in my school.

Examiner

Do you think students would benefit more from more rules?

Candidate

Yes, I do. I think students would be benefit from more rules and the reason why I think in this way is because I think sometimes students don't know what to do or do nothing too much about the behavior they have done. So I think if there's more stricter than it's more benefit for them.

Examiner

Have you ever had a really dedicated teacher?

Candidate

Yes, I have made before and that was in my Senior High School. She was a very great teacher. She was my main teacher in our class teaching Chinese. She was a very patient person.

Examiner

Do you prefer to have more or fewer rules at school?

Candidate

For now, I definitely will say I prefer fewer rules at my school. But for me, in the past, I think I won't say I prefer fewer rules at school 'cause I don't think I have that kind of thinking to control me, to do anything that is not very good.

Examiner

Have you ever had a really strict teacher?

Candidate

Yes, I have made a very strict teacher in my Senior High School. Her name was called Vicky. She was a very strict but very devoted teacher. In my Senior High School life, she was teaching English and she was really strict for her student.

Examiner

Would you like to work as a teacher in a rule-free school?

Candidate

No, I wouldn't like to work in the real free school. I prefer to have some rules, maybe not really strict, but have some rules to control that students and prevent them to do some very harmful for themselves or the other self. So I wouldn't like to work at that kind of school.

Evaluation

Overall

Overall: 6.0Fluency & Coherence: 6.0Pronunciation: 6.0Grammar: 5.5Lexical Resource: 6.0

Part 1

Are there any rules for students at your school?

Score: 55.0

Suggestion: 在回答中注意语法、用词和句子逻辑。首先直接回答问题,然后用1-2句具体例子支持。避免重复(例如“there are”重复)和错误词形(如“roles”应为“rules”)。可以增加连词使句子连贯,比如“for example”“such as”。另外,控制在最多五句内,句子简洁自然。

Example: Yes, there are many rules at my university. For example, students are strictly prohibited from using or possessing drugs. In addition, there are regulations about attendance and campus behavior to ensure safety and order.

Do you think students would benefit more from more rules?

Score: 50.0

Suggestion: 回答要更有条理,先给明确观点,再用一到两个清晰原因支持。注意语法(如“benefit from”而不是“be benefit from”;“stricter”需比较结构正确)。使用连接词如“because”“for example”使逻辑更清楚。避免冗长重复表达。

Example: Yes, I do. I believe more rules can help students because many young people lack guidance and may make poor choices. For example, clear rules about attendance and discipline can encourage responsibility and improve overall learning.

Have you ever had a really dedicated teacher?

Score: 65.0

Suggestion: 总体回答较清楚,但开头用词不当(“I have made before”应改为“I have”或“I had”)。可在一两句中加入具体例子说明她如何“dedicated”(如加班改作业、关心学生)。使用连接词使句子更连贯。保持自然简洁。

Example: Yes, I have. In senior high school I had a very dedicated Chinese teacher. She always stayed after class to help students with essays and patiently explained difficult grammar points, which really improved my writing.

Do you prefer to have more or fewer rules at school?

Score: 50.0

Suggestion: 回答要直接、简洁并有逻辑。先陈述现在的偏好,随后用1-2句说明原因。避免含糊和双重否定(如“won't say I prefer fewer rules”混淆)。用连接词如“however”“because”清楚表达对比和原因。

Example: Now I prefer fewer rules because they allow students more freedom and creativity. However, when I was younger I supported stricter rules because I needed more structure and guidance.

Have you ever had a really strict teacher?

Score: 60.0

Suggestion: 注意语法和表达自然性,比如用“I had a very strict teacher”而不是“I have made”。提供具体事例说明她为何严格(例如课堂纪律、严格批改作业),并说明你从中学到什么。保持句子简短且连贯。

Example: Yes, I had a very strict English teacher named Vicky in senior high school. She enforced strict classroom rules and marked homework rigorously, but her high standards helped me improve my grammar and exam scores.

Would you like to work as a teacher in a rule-free school?

Score: 62.0

Suggestion: 回答清晰但语法和表达可改进。使用更自然的句型,如“I wouldn't want to work at a completely rule-free school.” 说明原因时用更地道的表达(e.g. “to protect students' safety and well-being”)。避免冗余并保持逻辑连贯。

Example: I wouldn't want to work at a completely rule-free school. I think some reasonable rules are necessary to protect students' safety and teach them responsibility, although they don't need to be overly strict.

Grammar

There be issue

× Of course there are there are so many rules for seasons at my own school.

Of course there are so many rules at my school.

句子中重复使用了“there are there are”,且介词搭配不当(“rules for seasons”不合适)。使用正确的存在句型“It exists”的形式,并用“at my school”表示在学校。建议避免重复短语,保持介词搭配自然。

Present tense issue

× Now I am studying in university and I am a sophomore year students in university.

Now I am studying at university and I am a sophomore.

原句中有时态和数的一致性问题,“a sophomore year students”包含多重错误:既多余使用冠词和复数,又冗余使用“year”。应使用现在进行时描述正在学习的状态,并用单数名词“a sophomore”。建议简化表述为“studying at university”与“a sophomore”。

There be issue

× There is a very strict roles in my university that all students cannot having a drug something like that.

There are very strict rules at my university: all students are not allowed to take drugs.

原句在存在句数一致上出错(“There is”与复数“roles”不一致),且动词形式和语法搭配错误(“cannot having a drug”不正确)。改为“There are...: all students are not allowed to...” 使用被动和不定式短语来表达禁止。建议注意主谓数一致和动词搭配(allow + to do / be allowed to do)。

Article errors

× That is a role for students in my school.

That is a rule for students at my school.

原句中“role”用错,应该是“rule”(规则);介词用“at my school”更自然。注意词汇搭配,选择正确的名词来表达“规则”。

Modal verb usage

× I think students would be benefit from more rules and the reason why I think in this way is because I think sometimes students don't know what to do or do nothing too much about the behavior they have done.

I think students would benefit from more rules because sometimes they don't know what to do or don't correct their bad behavior.

“would be benefit”是不正确的被动/情态动词用法,应为“would benefit”。句子过长且重复“think”。将句子简化并用“don't correct their bad behavior”更清晰。建议学习情态动词与动词原形的搭配(would + 动词原形)。

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× So I think if there's more stricter than it's more benefit for them.

So I think if there are stricter rules, it will be more beneficial for them.

原句包含比较级和副词/形容词搭配错误:“more stricter”是冗余(should be “stricter”);“more benefit”用词不当,应为“more beneficial”或“a greater benefit”。同时调整从句与主句的一致性。建议学习比较级用法(不要同时使用“more”与“-er”)。

Past tense issue

× Yes, I have made before and that was in my Senior High School.

Yes, I had one before; that was in my senior high school.

原句“have made before”不自然且时态使用错误。表达过去经历应使用“had one before”或“I have had one before”。此处说具体过去事件,用一般过去时或现在完成时均可,但要用正确动词(have/had)和冠词。建议区分“have had”和“had”并根据上下文选择时态。

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× She was a very great teacher.

She was a great teacher.

“very great”在英语中冗余且不自然,用“great”已足够。建议避免不必要的程度副词,使用更自然的搭配。

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× She was my main teacher in our class teaching Chinese.

She was my homeroom teacher who taught Chinese in our class.

原句词序和名词选择不自然。“main teacher”不常用,可用“homeroom teacher”或“main teacher for our class”,并用定语从句说明她教授中文。建议注意名词搭配与从句结构。

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× She was a very patient person.

She was very patient.

“a very patient person”可以,但在口语中更简洁自然为“She was very patient.” 建议简短表达品质。

Future tense issue

× For now, I definitely will say I prefer fewer rules at my school.

For now, I would definitely say I prefer fewer rules at my school.

原句中“will say I prefer”时态/语气不自然。用“would say”更符合礼貌表述个人偏好或用简单现在时“I prefer fewer rules”都可。建议使用更自然的表达方式来陈述偏好。

Past tense issue

× But for me, in the past, I think I won't say I prefer fewer rules at school 'cause I don't think I have that kind of thinking to control me, to do anything that is not very good.

But in the past, I wouldn't have said I preferred fewer rules at school, because I didn't think I had that kind of self-control to stop myself from doing things that were not very good.

原句时态混用(现在/过去/将来)且表达不连贯。把整个句子改为过去时态以匹配“in the past”。修正情态动词和动词形式,并改为更清晰的自我控制表达。建议确保时间状语与动词时态一致。

Past tense issue

× Yes, I have made a very strict teacher in my Senior High School.

Yes, I had a very strict teacher in my senior high school.

“have made a very strict teacher”不合语义且动词错误,应为“had”表示曾经有过某位严格的老师。保持过去时并使用正确动词。

Incorrect use of pronouns

× Her name was called Vicky.

Her name was Vicky.

英语中不说“was called”加名字来陈述名字,直接说“Her name was Vicky.” 更自然。建议简化命名句式。

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× She was a very strict but very devoted teacher.

She was a very strict but very devoted teacher.

句子本身语法正确,但在口语中可去掉冗余“very”之一以显得更自然。这里保留原句为可接受表达。

Incorrect use of pronouns

× she was really strict for her student.

she was really strict with her students.

介词搭配错误,“strict for”应为“strict with”或“strict on”,并且“student”需复数“students”。建议注意介词搭配和主谓数一致。

Modal verb usage

× No, I wouldn't like to work in the real free school.

No, I wouldn't like to work in a rule-free school.

“real free school”不自然,应为“rule-free school”。同时“wouldn't like to work in”可以接受但要改名词短语为准确表达。建议使用固定搭配“rule-free”。

Incorrect use of pronouns

× I prefer to have some rules, maybe not really strict, but have some rules to control that students and prevent them to do some very harmful for themselves or the other self.

I prefer to have some rules, maybe not very strict, but rules to control students and prevent them from doing things that are harmful to themselves or others.

原句中介词和动词不定式使用错误(“prevent them to do”应为“prevent them from doing”),代词“the other self”错误,应为“others”。建议记住“prevent someone from doing something”的固定用法,并使用正确的代词复数形式。

Sentence structure errors

× So I wouldn't like to work at that kind of school.

So I wouldn't like to work at that kind of school.

该句语法正确,仅与前句连贯性问题。保留句子即可。
