× Oh exactly, and I think I can't live with the books in my daily life.
✓ Oh exactly, I think I can't live without books in my daily life.
× I have started the habit of reading since my childhood.
✓ I have had the habit of reading since my childhood.
原句“I have started ... since”不恰当,应改为“I have had ... since”。
× And to be more specific, my favorite books. Uh, it's a type of the novel, especially those in fantasy and mystery.
✓ To be more specific, my favorite books are novels, especially those in fantasy and mystery.
“my favorite books. Uh, it's a type of the novel”应合并为完整句,并且“it's a type of the novel”不符合复数主语,需用复数谓语“are novels”。
× I love the feeling to follow the ups and downs of the storyline and the plots to say what? What happened in the end?
✓ I love the feeling of following the ups and downs of the storyline and wondering what happens in the end.
动词搭配错误,“the feeling to follow”应为“the feeling of following”;此外原句后半部分不连贯,用“wondering what happens in the end”更自然且时态一致。
× I prefer to read the books on screen especially on the digital diverse because I think it is more convenient and the portfolio than the heavy paper books and in addition I can adjust the font size and search for any title I want to read so.
✓ I prefer to read books on screens, especially on digital devices, because I think they are more convenient and portable than heavy paper books. In addition, I can adjust the font size and search for any title I want to read.
原句有多个错误:不必要的定冠词“the books”应为复数泛指“books”;“digital diverse”为拼写错误,应为“digital devices”;“the portfolio”用词错误,应为“portable”;代词与先行词一致问题,用“they”指代“devices”。
× In my spare time I will always bring my Kindle which is a digital diverse to read books when I commute or in my spare time.
✓ In my spare time, I always bring my Kindle, which is a digital device, to read books when I commute.
“will always bring”不符合习惯性动作的表达,应使用一般现在时“I always bring”。重复短语“in my spare time”应避免冗余。
× Well, I think it really comes down to the occasions and the characteristics of the books.
✓ Well, I think it really depends on the occasion and the characteristics of the books.
短语“comes down to”虽然可用但在此处更自然的表达是“depends on the occasion”。
× For professional materials, I need to read the books or academic literature, uh, in detail, sentence by sentence to absorb the knowledge better.
✓ For professional materials, I need to read books or academic literature in detail, sentence by sentence, to absorb the knowledge better.
“the books”在此处不应使用定冠词,改为泛指“books”。去掉多余逗号并调整短语顺序使句子更流畅。注意冠词使用和标点位置。 (类型 22)
× But on the other hand, for the later book, umm, I usually read. Just by scanning through the pages to get a main idea of the book that is especially adapt to the type of novel or other layer books.
✓ But on the other hand, for later books, I usually read by scanning through the pages to get the main idea, which is especially suitable for novels or other light reading.
原句问题包括“the later book”用法错误,应为复数“later books”;句子断裂不完整,应合并为完整句;“adapt to”用法错误,正确为“suitable for”或“adapted to”;“other layer books”是不合适的表达,应改为“light reading”。
× for professional reading, like academic literature or the textbook, I may uh, read the books detailedly sentence by sentence to absorb the whole knowledge, uh, efficient efficiently.
✓ For professional reading, like academic literature or textbooks, I may read in detail, sentence by sentence, to absorb the knowledge more efficiently.
“the textbook”改为复数“textbooks”更泛指;“read the books detailedly”中“detailedly”不是常用副词,改为“read in detail”或“read in detail”更自然;“efficient efficiently”重复且位置错误,改为“more efficiently”。
× By contrast, if I just. Books for leisure. I may just scan through the pages to get the main idea of the book. Umm, that happened when I was.
✓ By contrast, if I am reading books for leisure, I may just scan through the pages to get the main idea of the book.
原句存在多处断句错误和不完整的从句,需将碎片合并为完整条件句:“if I am reading books for leisure”。去掉不完整的“Umm, that happened when I was.”
