Examiner

Do you look out the window at the scenery when travelling by bus or car?

Candidate

Yes. Whenever I'm traveling as a passenger, I like to look out the window at the scenery because I love. I'm a natural person. I love the natural things as well. And then I love to enjoy it. The colors of the nature, that's why.

Examiner

Do you take photos of the scenery outside the car window?

Candidate

Basically not outside the car window because of the danger. And most of the time I'm taking picture from inside of the car. I'm having a camera and then iPhone as well with that, uh, I'm taking pictures and then the pixels are really good with that as well. And then if the scenery is really good, sometimes we are just dropping the car at the stop point.

Examiner

Do you prefer the mountains or the sea?

Candidate

As I love to track so definitely I prefer mountains rather than lakes. I do love lakes as well but for me the lake is like all the lakes are same. So for I'll have to go to trekking for the mountains and then they are having a like different weather as well. Some of the mountains are full with greenery, some of the mountains are full with snow. That's why.

Part 1

Do you look out the window at the scenery when travelling by bus or car?

Score: 62.0

Suggestion: Be more concise and use a clear topic sentence, then add one or two specific supporting details with linking words. Fix small grammar issues and avoid repetition (e.g., "I love" repeated).

Example: Yes, I often look out the window when I travel as a passenger because I enjoy nature. For example, I like watching changing colors of trees and fields, especially at sunrise. Also, I find it relaxing, so I usually spend the whole journey admiring the view.

Do you take photos of the scenery outside the car window?

Score: 70.0

Suggestion: Start with a clear direct answer, then give concise reasons and a specific example. Improve grammar (use present continuous/simple appropriately) and remove fillers. Use linking words like "because" and "however."

Example: Usually no, I don’t take photos out of the window because it’s dangerous. Instead, I take pictures from inside the car with my camera or iPhone because they have good picture quality. However, if the view is exceptional, we stop at a safe lay-by to take photos.

Do you prefer the mountains or the sea?

Score: 66.0

Suggestion: Give a direct answer (mountains), then provide two clear, specific reasons linked with words like "because" and "for example." Correct vocabulary (trekking, lakes vs sea) and simplify sentences to avoid hesitation.

Example: I prefer the mountains because I enjoy trekking and varied landscapes. For example, some mountains are lush and green while others are snowy, which makes each trip different. I also find mountain hikes more adventurous and refreshing than visiting lakes.

Grammar

Present tense issue

× Whenever I'm traveling as a passenger, I like to look out the window at the scenery because I love.

Whenever I'm traveling as a passenger, I like to look out the window at the scenery because I love it.

Missing object 'it' after 'love' makes the sentence incomplete and unclear. Add 'it' to show what is loved. Use present continuous 'I'm traveling' and present simple 'I like' correctly.

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× I'm a natural person.

I am a person who loves nature.

'Natural person' is a legal term and incorrect here. Replace with a clear adjective phrase 'person who loves nature' to express the intended meaning.

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× I love the natural things as well.

I also love natural things.

Word order is awkward. Use 'also' before the verb for natural placement and remove 'the' because 'natural things' is a general plural noun.

Sentence structure errors

× And then I love to enjoy it.

I also enjoy it.

'Love to enjoy' is redundant and awkward. Use the simpler verb 'enjoy' with adverb 'also' for clarity and conciseness.

Sentence structure errors

× The colors of the nature, that's why.

That's because I enjoy the colors of nature.

Original is a fragment and unclear. Rephrase into a full sentence showing cause: 'That's because I enjoy the colors of nature.' Remove 'the' before 'nature' when speaking generally.

Incorrect use of prepositions

× Basically not outside the car window because of the danger.

Basically, not outside the car window because it is dangerous.

Sentence fragment lacking a subject and verb. Add 'it is' to form a complete clause and clarify the reason; add comma after 'Basically' for readability.

Present tense issue

× And most of the time I'm taking picture from inside of the car.

Most of the time I take pictures from inside the car.

Present continuous 'I'm taking' is unnecessary for habitual action; use simple present 'I take'. Use plural 'pictures' and correct preposition 'inside the car' (no 'of').

Incorrect use of pronouns

× I'm having a camera and then iPhone as well with that, uh, I'm taking pictures and then the pixels are really good with that as well.

I have a camera and an iPhone, and I take pictures with them; the image quality is very good.

'I'm having' is incorrect for possession; use 'I have'. Capitalize 'iPhone'. 'With that' is vague; specify 'with them' (camera and iPhone). 'Pixels are really good' is awkward; say 'the image quality is very good.'

Incorrect use of prepositions

× And then if the scenery is really good, sometimes we are just dropping the car at the stop point.

If the scenery is really good, sometimes we just stop the car at a stopping point.

'Dropping the car' is wrong collocation; use 'stop the car'. 'We are just stopping' could be present continuous but simple present 'we just stop' is fine for habitual actions. 'Stop point' is unnatural; 'stopping point' or 'a stop' is better and include article 'a'.

Verb + -ing form

× As I love to track so definitely I prefer mountains rather than lakes.

Because I love trekking, I definitely prefer mountains to lakes.

'Track' is incorrect verb for hiking; use 'trek' or 'trekking'. Use 'because' for reason and change 'rather than' to 'to' when comparing preferences: 'prefer A to B.'

Sentence structure errors

× I do love lakes as well but for me the lake is like all the lakes are same.

I do love lakes as well, but for me, all lakes are the same.

Original has redundancy and incorrect article use. 'The lake is like all the lakes are same' is ungrammatical. Simplify to 'all lakes are the same' and add commas for clarity.

Sentence structure errors

× So for I'll have to go to trekking for the mountains and then they are having a like different weather as well.

So I have to go trekking in the mountains because they have different weather conditions.

Remove incorrect 'for' and contraction 'I'll' which do not fit. Use 'go trekking in the mountains' and 'they have different weather conditions' instead of 'they are having a like different weather.' 'Have' expresses general state; 'different weather conditions' is clearer.

Incorrect use of prepositions

× Some of the mountains are full with greenery, some of the mountains are full with snow.

Some mountains are full of greenery, and others are covered in snow.

Use 'full of' not 'full with'. For snowy mountains 'covered in snow' is a natural collocation. Also use 'some... others...' for contrast and omit 'the' before 'mountains' when speaking generally.
