Do you like reading?
开头直接给出主旨句,然后用1–2句具体理由支持,注意动词和搭配(例如 “help me gain knowledge” 而不是 “let me get more knowledge”),并删去填充词“uh”。
Exemplo: Yes, I enjoy reading. It helps me gain knowledge for my future goals and also relaxes me after a busy day.
Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
Exemplo: I prefer reading on a screen because it’s more convenient. I can access ebooks on my phone or tablet, carry many books with me, and adjust the font size for comfortable reading.
When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
Exemplo: You should read textbooks like biology or history carefully because accuracy matters for exams and understanding complex facts. For light fiction or news, you can skim to get the main idea without focusing on every detail.
Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
Exemplo: It depends on the type of book. For academic or historical books I read in detail to avoid missing important facts, but for novels or light fiction I often skim to follow the plot quickly.
× Reading not only can let me get more knowledge to prepare my future goals, it's also, uh, let me relax myself sometimes.
✓ Reading not only can let me gain more knowledge to prepare for my future goals, it also lets me relax sometimes.
句中“get more knowledge”可改为更地道的“gain more knowledge”;“prepare my future goals”应为“prepare for my future goals”;后半句中原文用的是“it's also, uh, let me relax myself sometimes”,结构混乱且动词形式错误,应改为“it also lets me relax sometimes”(用第三人称单数动词形式 lets,并去掉多余的反身代词self)。
× Because I'm reading on screen does mean I can read it on any technology gadget like iPhone, iPad or MacBook.
✓ Reading on a screen means I can read on any device like an iPhone, iPad, or MacBook.
原句“Because I'm reading on screen does mean I can read it”含有多余的助动词“does”且代词“it”指代不明。改为简洁的主谓结构“Reading on a screen means I can read on any device”,并用冠词修饰“an iPhone”。
× Anti gadget can let me bring to everywhere easy to read and can save many books at in the same time.
✓ Portable gadgets let me take them everywhere easily to read and can store many books at the same time.
原句“Anti gadget”不正确,应为“portable gadgets”或“portable devices”;“bring to everywhere easy to read”结构混乱,副词形式和词序错误,改为“let me take them everywhere easily to read”;“save many books at in the same time”中介词和短语错误,应为“store many books at the same time”。
× I think when we reached the biology book or the history book, when you read very carefully, because the history can't be changed.
✓ I think when we read a biology book or a history book, we need to read very carefully, because history can't be changed.
× If we misunderstand some history, that will let us fail on our examination.
✓ If we misunderstand some historical facts, that could cause us to fail our examination.
原句“some history”搭配不准确,应说“some historical facts”或“some part of history”;“that will let us fail on our examination”中“let”用法不当,改为“could cause us to fail”更自然;“fail on our examination”应为“fail our examination”或“fail the exam”。建议:使用适当的名词搭配(historical facts),用更自然的动词短语(cause ... to fail / fail the exam)。
× I think it's depends on what types of books that I read like the majority books and history book.
✓ I think it depends on what types of books I read, like novels and history books.
原句“it's depends”动词不正确,应为“it depends”;“what types of books that I read”中多余的关系词“that”可删;“the majority books”用法不当,可能想说“novels”或“popular books”;“history book”应复数“history books”。
× I prefer to read details and if some book like science fiction book I will just scan it because if I misunderstand some important aspect or that's fine won't be a big trouble.
✓ I prefer to read in detail, and if a book is a science fiction novel I will just skim it, because misunderstanding some minor points wouldn't be a big problem.
原句“I prefer to read details”应改为“I prefer to read in detail”;“if some book like science fiction book”应为“if a book is a science fiction novel”;“I will just scan it”更自然的是“skim it”;后半句结构混乱,“or that's fine won't be a big trouble”语法错误且表达不清,改为“because misunderstanding some minor points wouldn't be a big problem”。
