Part 1

What is your favourite food?

Pontuação: 64.0

Sugestão: Be more concise and avoid repetition. Start with a clear topic sentence, then give one or two specific supporting details using linking words. Correct minor grammar (e.g., "Thailand Tom Yum" → "Thai Tom Yum").

Exemplo: My favourite food is Tom Yum soup served with rice because I love spicy and sour flavours. For example, authentic Thai Tom Yum combines fragrant lemongrass and lime with chillies, which makes it bold on its own but perfect when eaten with plain rice.

What kind of food did you like when you were young?

Pontuação: 38.0

Sugestão: Clarify the dish name and use correct vocabulary. Provide a clear topic sentence, then specific ingredients and a simple reason. Avoid long unclear phrases and fix grammar and word choice errors.

Exemplo: When I was young, my favourite dish was Nasi Lemak, a famous Malaysian meal. It has coconut milk rice, spicy sambal, cucumber, anchovies and peanuts, and I loved it especially because the spicy sambal and crunchy anchovies tasted great with the rice.

Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?

Pontuação: 58.0

Sugestão: Start directly and structure the answer: topic sentence then specific examples with linking words. Improve grammar (plural/singular, article use) and reduce repetition. Mention any seasonal changes if relevant.

Exemplo: Not really — I eat different cuisines throughout the year rather than changing food by season. For example, as a Malaysian I often eat Chinese dishes most of the time, but I also enjoy Indian curries and Malay dishes like Nasi Lemak, and sometimes Japanese or Korean food.

Has your favourite food changed since you were a child?

Pontuação: 55.0

Sugestão: Give a clear topic sentence about change, then explain reasons concisely using linking words. Correct tense and word choice (e.g., "I preferred"; "keffir/lime leaves"). Avoid long, slightly confusing clauses.

Exemplo: Yes. I preferred Nasi Lemak as a child, but now I prefer Tom Yum with rice because I enjoy stronger, spicier and sour flavours. The sourness and heat of Tom Yum suit my current taste more than the rich, coconut flavour of Nasi Lemak.

Gramática

Incorrect use of articles

× My favorite food is Tom Yum soup with the rice because I really love spicy food and Tom Yum is amazing for me because of its sour taste and also it's spicy taste and when it's mixed with the rice it's the definitely the perfect match.

My favorite food is Tom Yum soup with rice because I really love spicy food. Tom Yum is amazing to me because of its sour and spicy taste, and when it is mixed with rice it is definitely the perfect match.

The sentence contains unnecessary definite articles 'the' before 'rice' and 'the definitely'; articles should be omitted with uncountable nouns like 'rice' unless a specific portion is meant. Also run-on sentence issues were simplified for clarity. Suggestion: remove 'the' before 'rice' and use 'definitely' correctly; break long sentences into shorter ones for clarity.

Incorrect use of adjectives or adverbs

× So I like the authentic Thailand Tom Yum especially the one from Thailand.

So I like authentic Thai Tom Yum, especially the one from Thailand.

'Thailand' is a noun used where the adjective 'Thai' is needed to modify 'Tom Yum'. Also 'the authentic' is overly specific; 'authentic Thai Tom Yum' is the correct adjective order. Suggestion: use 'Thai' as the adjective and place it before the noun.

Present tense issue

× My favorite food when I was young is definitely Lazilma.

My favorite food when I was young was definitely Lazilma.

The clause refers to a past time ('when I was young'), so the verb should be in past tense. Using present 'is' with a past time expression is incorrect. Suggestion: use 'was' to match the past reference.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× So Nasilma is a very famous Malaysian cuisine and is have the coconut milk rice, the sambar and covetous and also peanut.

Nasi lemak is a very famous Malaysian dish and has coconut milk rice, sambar, vegetables, and peanuts.

Multiple issues: 'Nasilma' misspelled; 'is have' is incorrect verb form; 'cuisine' better as 'dish' here; 'covetous' appears to be a wrong word for 'vegetables'. Pronoun/verb agreement and word choice corrected. Suggestion: use correct noun forms and match verb 'has' with singular subject 'Nasi lemak'.

Incorrect use of pronouns

× Although I don't like peanut, but I really love the anchor viewers and and I love the sambar because it's raised by sea and I love it because under my influence on my brother.

Although I don't like peanuts, I really love the other flavors, and I love the sambar because it's made with prawns (or fish), and I love it because my brother influenced me.

Multiple errors: 'peanut' should be plural 'peanuts' when speaking generally; the conjunction 'Although' should not be followed by 'but' (redundant). Phrases 'anchor viewers' and 'raised by sea' are unclear and likely wrong words; 'made with prawns' or similar likely intended. 'Under my influence on my brother' is ungrammatical; clarified as 'my brother influenced me' or vice versa depending on intended meaning. Suggestion: avoid redundant conjunctions, use correct plural for countable nouns, and express influence clearly.

Incorrect use of quantifiers

× I would say actually I eat different kind of the food regardless of the time of the year.

I would say that I actually eat different kinds of food regardless of the time of year.

'Different kind of the food' is incorrect: use plural 'kinds' with 'different' and omit 'the' before 'food' when speaking generally. Also include 'that' or restructure for clarity. Suggestion: use 'different kinds of food' and remove unnecessary articles.

Subject-verb agreement errors

× So for example Malaysians have three main ethnic group which is Malay, Chinese and Indian.

For example, Malaysia has three main ethnic groups: Malay, Chinese, and Indian.

Subject-verb agreement and noun number: 'Malaysians have' suggests people possess groups which is awkward; better to state 'Malaysia has' and use plural 'groups' to match 'three'. Also punctuation improved. Suggestion: match singular/plural appropriately and use clear subject.

Incorrect use of articles

× So while most of the time I enjoy eating Chinese food but sometime I will also love to eat the Indian foods or the Malay food like Nasi lemak or even the some Japanese food, Korean food and China food.

Although most of the time I enjoy eating Chinese food, sometimes I also like to eat Indian or Malay food like Nasi lemak, or even some Japanese, Korean, and Chinese food.

Errors include incorrect conjunction combination ('while' with 'but'), wrong article use ('the Indian foods', 'the some'), incorrect adjective forms ('China food' should be 'Chinese food'), and adverb placement ('sometimes'). Suggestion: use 'although' or 'while' alone, use 'sometimes' for frequency, remove unnecessary 'the', and use correct nationality adjectives.

Past tense issue

× Yes, actually when I was a child I prefer nasi lemak more but as I grow older I realise that actually Tom Yum soup with the rice is much better than the nasi lemak because it's way more spicy and then the taste is a bit sour which is really different from the nasi lemak as his include the kefir leaves.

Yes. Actually, when I was a child I preferred Nasi lemak more, but as I grew older I realized that Tom Yum soup with rice is much better than Nasi lemak because it is spicier and a bit sour, which is really different from Nasi lemak as it includes kaffir lime leaves.

Tense consistency errors: 'prefer' should be past 'preferred' to match 'when I was a child'; 'grow' should be past 'grew'. Spelling 'realise' adjusted to 'realized' (either is acceptable; keep consistent). 'Way more spicy' corrected to 'spicier'. 'the nasi lemak' article unnecessary. 'his include' is incorrect pronoun/verb; should be 'it includes'. 'kefir' corrected to 'kaffir lime leaves'. Suggestion: keep past tense for past references, use comparative forms properly, and ensure pronouns refer correctly to the dish.
