Do you eat different foods at different times of the year?
Điểm: 66.0Gợi ý: Avoid fillers and incorrect verbs (e.g., “drive varieties” is wrong). Start with a direct topic sentence, then give two clear seasonal examples with a reason. Use correct vocabulary (“stews” not “stewie”) and linkers like “for example” and “also.”
Ví dụ: Yes, I eat different foods depending on the season. For example, in summer I enjoy mangoes and watermelon because they are refreshing, while in winter I prefer chicken broth and hearty stews to keep warm. Seasonal availability also influences what I choose to eat.
× So basically there is no specific favorite food of mine but I like to try out different cuisines and variety of flavors.
✓ So basically there is no specific favorite food of mine, but I like to try out different cuisines and a variety of flavors.
Missing article before 'variety' and punctuation: 'a variety of flavors' is correct; add a comma before 'but' to join independent clauses. Use article 'a' with 'variety' because it is a count noun phrase.
× I like Indian cuisines, Nepali cuisines as well as Italian cuisine and and nowadays I'm really fond of pizzas and burgers because I like the taste of cheese and the chicken flavors are more con.
✓ I like Indian and Nepali cuisines as well as Italian cuisine, and nowadays I'm really fond of pizzas and burgers because I like the taste of cheese, and chicken flavors are stronger.
Avoid repeated 'and and'; combine similar items ('Indian and Nepali cuisines'). 'The chicken flavors are more con' is unclear and ungrammatical; likely meant 'chicken flavors are stronger' or 'more pronounced'. Use commas to separate clauses.
× When I was young, I was very fond of the foods that contained sugar in it.
✓ When I was young, I was very fond of foods that contained sugar.
Redundant 'the' and incorrect 'in it' after 'contained sugar.' Remove 'the' and 'in it' to make the phrase natural: 'foods that contained sugar.' Past-tense 'contained' is correct.
× I had a sweet tooth so I was really fascinated towards the creamy texture of chocolates and the melting of chocolate in my mouth.
✓ I had a sweet tooth, so I was really fascinated by the creamy texture of chocolates and the way chocolate melted in my mouth.
Use 'fascinated by' not 'fascinated towards.' 'The melting of chocolate in my mouth' is awkward; use 'the way chocolate melted in my mouth' for clarity. Add a comma before 'so' joining independent clauses.
× Especially. I used to eat a lot of chocolate brownies and pastries which would easily uplift my mood in my childhood.
✓ Especially, I used to eat a lot of chocolate brownies and pastries, which would easily uplift my mood in my childhood.
Sentence fragment 'Especially.' must attach to following clause. Add commas: after 'Especially' and before the nonrestrictive clause 'which would...'. Consider removing 'in my childhood' because 'used to' already indicates past time; 'during my childhood' is an alternative.
× So basically I am a real foodie and I drive varieties of food throughout the year.
✓ So basically I am a real foodie and I try a variety of foods throughout the year.
'Drive varieties of food' is incorrect collocation. Use 'try a variety of foods' — 'try' is appropriate and 'a variety of foods' requires article and plural 'foods.'
× Similarly, I love having chicken broth and stewie soups during winter that helps me to stay warm.
✓ Similarly, I love having chicken broth and stewy soups during winter, which help me stay warm.
'Stewie' is likely the wrong word; 'stewy' (or 'stew-like') is better, but better to say 'stewy soups' or simply 'stews.' 'That helps' should be 'which help' to refer to plural 'broth and stewy soups.' Remove 'to' after 'help' in this structure.
× The availability of the produce and the foods also matter in the season.
✓ The availability of produce and foods also matters in each season.
Use 'produce' without 'the' for general sense and remove redundant 'the' before 'foods.' Subject-verb agreement: singular subject 'availability' requires 'matters.' 'In the season' is unnatural; use 'in each season' or 'during the season' depending on meaning.
