× Nowadays I have a lot on my plane.
✓ Nowadays I have a lot on my plate.
The student used the incorrect word 'plane' instead of the idiomatic noun 'plate' meaning responsibilities. This is a vocabulary choice rather than tense, but it affects present-tense description. Suggestion: use 'I have a lot on my plate' to correctly express being busy.
× I don't have much time.
✓ I don't have much time.
This sentence is grammatically correct in the present tense and needs no change. Keep simple present for habitual or general situations.
× I have a tight schedule, uh, so I prefer to study a lot.
✓ I have a tight schedule, so I prefer to study a lot.
The sentence is correct in present tense; remove filler 'uh' for fluency. Maintain present simple for habits and states.
× But when I have free time, when I uh, feel down, I prefer to watch the the latest movie on a free stream and watch them.
✓ But when I have free time or feel down, I prefer to watch the latest movie on a free streaming site.
Errors: repetition 'the the', awkward repetition 'watch... and watch them', and incorrect phrase 'free stream'. Use 'free streaming site' or 'free stream' as noun phrase. Combine clauses with 'or' to be concise. Maintain present simple for habitual actions.
× It's the best time for me and my husband hang out with each other and watch.
✓ It's the best time for my husband and me to hang out with each other and watch movies.
Errors: wrong word order and missing infinitive 'to' before 'hang out'; pronoun order 'my husband and me' is preferred as object; specify 'movies' for clarity. Use infinitive after 'time' to indicate purpose.
× Actually, I prefer detective movies.
✓ Actually, I prefer detective movies.
This sentence is correct. Use present simple 'prefer' to state general preference.
× The other thing that I like to mention as sci-fi is or my cup of tea because they produce a joyful atmosphere when we, uh, watch them, they are really exciting.
✓ The other thing I want to mention is that sci-fi is my cup of tea because it creates a joyful atmosphere when we watch it; it is really exciting.
Problems: incorrect word order and conjunction use ('as sci-fi is or'), subject-verb agreement ('they' vs 'sci-fi' as a genre treated as singular), run-on sentence with comma splice. Use 'that' to introduce clause, treat 'sci-fi' as singular 'it', and split or join clauses correctly with proper punctuation.
× I sometimes get nightmares when I watch them.
✓ I sometimes get nightmares when I watch them.
This sentence is correct in present simple for general truth/habit. No change needed.
× Detective movies are so popular around my countries and I like to watch them because they have integrated plots.
✓ Detective movies are very popular in my country, and I like to watch them because they have intricate plots.
Errors: 'around my countries' is incorrect—use 'in my country' if referring to one country; 'integrated plots' is awkward—'intricate plots' or 'complex plots' fits better. Maintain plural agreement for 'movies' and 'them'.
× We cannot predict any.
✓ We cannot predict the outcome/ending.
'We cannot predict any' is incomplete and unclear. Replace with a complete noun phrase like 'the outcome' or 'the ending' to convey meaning. Keep present simple for general statement.
× Actually, I believe that cinemas are like an event.
✓ Actually, I believe that going to the cinema is like an event.
'Cinemas are like an event' is awkward: use gerund 'going to the cinema' or 'visiting the cinema' and treat it as a singular experience. Also 'cinema' (activity) vs 'cinemas' (places). Maintain present simple.
× Most young people hang out with their friends, they make lots of noise.
✓ Most young people hang out with their friends; they make a lot of noise.
Use a semicolon or separate sentences to fix comma splice. 'Lots of noise' is informal; 'a lot of noise' is acceptable. Maintain present simple.
× I cannot concentrate well.
✓ I cannot concentrate well.
This sentence is correct. Present simple is appropriate.
× I prefer to watch a movies at home, uh, because, uh, nobody disturbs me and also I can uh, concentrate well.
✓ I prefer to watch movies at home because nobody disturbs me and I can concentrate well.
Error: 'a movies' mixes singular article with plural noun—remove 'a'. Remove filler 'uh' for fluency and streamline sentence. Maintain present simple.
× And my husband and I learn very casual the rice hang out with each other and make lots of snacks and criticize about these movies it produces.
✓ My husband and I relax casually, hang out with each other, make lots of snacks, and comment on the movies we watch.
Original sentence has many problems: wrong word choices ('learn', 'the rice'), word order, and awkward phrase 'criticize about these movies it produces.' Replace with clear verbs: 'relax', 'hang out', 'make snacks', 'comment on' or 'criticize' (without 'about'). Use commas to separate actions and maintain present simple.
× Uh, yes, definitely when we watch, uh, movies in other language, uh, it helped us, uh, to learn about their pronunciation, their grammar.
✓ Yes, definitely. When we watch movies in another language, it helps us learn their pronunciation and grammar.
Tense and number errors: use present simple 'it helps' for general truth, not past 'helped'. Use 'another language' (singular) or 'other languages' and remove fillers. Remove unnecessary 'to' after 'help' in this construction. Keep concise.
× The other thing that I like to mention, they sometimes shows show their, umm, culture and their national heritage, history, geography.
✓ Another thing I would like to mention is that they sometimes show their culture, national heritage, history, and geography.
Errors: incorrect subject 'they' before 'shows', verb agreement 'shows' should be 'show' with 'they'; duplicate 'shows show'. Use 'is that' to introduce clause. Use plural verb 'show' to match 'they'. List items separated by commas.
× So we can, uh, teach lots of things from these movies. I believe that they are so.
✓ So we can learn a lot from these movies. I believe they are very informative.
Errors: 'teach lots of things from these movies' is wrong subject—movies teach or help us learn; 'I believe that they are so' is incomplete. Replace with clear verbs 'learn' and complete opinion 'they are very informative.' Maintain present simple.
