× I remember I could then very useful and interesting knowledge from my science classes and I can also watch some sci-fi movies which were pretty.
✓ I remember I could gain very useful and interesting knowledge from my science classes, and I could also watch some pretty good sci‑fi movies.
將“which were pretty”改為“pretty good sci‑fi movies”更自然。
× No I don't actually. I don't use much science knowledge in my daily life were work.
✓ No, I don't actually. I don't use much scientific knowledge in my daily life or at work.
× Part of the reason is due to my current job which doesn't require much scientific knowledge.
✓ Part of the reason is that my current job doesn't require much scientific knowledge.
“is due to”通常用於名詞短語後,表示原因;但此處構造更自然的是“Part of the reason is that ...”。 建議學習常見的原因表達方式(because / is that / due to + noun)。
× One of the subjects about science that I want to know about is the universe.
✓ One of the science subjects that I want to learn more about is the universe.
另外“want to know about”在此語境更自然用“want to learn more about”。
× I have been a big fan of the universe and I want to know more about it.
✓ I have always been a big fan of the universe, and I want to know more about it.
× One thing that I really want to explore is that whether there is an another planet and whether there are creatures which are smarter than.
✓ One thing I really want to explore is whether there is another planet and whether there are creatures that are smarter than us.
原句中“is that whether”結構冗餘且錯誤,應直接用“is whether”。“an another”為錯誤冠詞重複,應為“another”。“which are smarter than”缺少比較對象,需補上“us”或其他名詞。
× No, it isn't. I don't think it's really important and necessary for anybody to learn science because in my opinion, not all people are born with the gift to learn science and not all people are interested in the subject.
✓ No, it isn't. I don't think it's really important or necessary for everyone to learn science because, in my opinion, not everyone is born with a gift for learning science and not everyone is interested in the subject.
“the gift to learn science”表達不自然,應改為“a gift for learning science”。
× Sometimes. I enjoy watching TV programs that are related to scientific things.
✓ Sometimes. I enjoy watching TV programs related to science.
“related to scientific things”冗長且“scientific things”不夠地道,應簡化為“related to science”。
× For example, I like watching TV shows which tells us universe.
✓ For example, I like watching TV shows that tell us about the universe.
“which tells us universe”有多處錯誤:動詞應為複數形式“tell”(與 TV shows 主語一致),需要介詞“about”來引出主題“the universe”,並加上定冠詞“the universe”。
