Do you like reading?

Absolutely, I definitely like reading, it's one of my common hobbies in my free time and I like reading. Umm to be specific, fiction books and for example the George RR Martin. The Song of Ice and Fire is one of my favorite books.

Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
考生
To be honest, I prefer reading on paper because it has a special vibe. It gives me the narrator vibe and like I'm the one who created this story. However, recently I've been reading on the screen because I'm usually reading while I'm on line on my bed, so I'm reading while I'm on my phone in the bed.

When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
考生
If you are talking about non academic books and and fiction non fiction books I would say I'm reading carefully when the part which I'm waiting for comes, but when it's just a normal part I'm just reading and which what they call scanning. But when the important part comes I'm trying to focus more to get more information.

Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
考生
As I mentioned earlier, it depends on what I'm reading. If I'm reading an academic book and something which I want to get useful information, I'm reading the detailed information. But if I'm reading some fiction, then I'm just scanning usually the text and usually this is what I'm doing.
Do you like reading?
分數: 72.0建議: Be more concise and avoid repetition. Start with a clear topic sentence, then give one or two specific supporting details (types of books, a named author or title) using linking words. Reduce hesitations and minor grammatical errors (e.g., "for example George R.R. Martin's The Song of Ice and Fire").
範例: Yes, I enjoy reading a lot. I mainly read fiction, especially fantasy novels; for example, I really like George R.R. Martin's The Song of Ice and Fire because of its complex characters and unpredictable plot.
Do you prefer to read on paper or on a screen?
分數: 76.0建議: Clarify ideas and use clearer vocabulary. Keep responses under five sentences and link contrasting points with words like "but" or "however." Avoid vague phrases such as "special vibe" and correct small errors (e.g., "online in bed" → "in bed online").
範例: I prefer reading on paper because it feels more immersive and helps me imagine the narrator's voice. However, recently I read on my phone in bed for convenience when I'm online, so I use screens more often now.
When do you need to read carefully, and when not?
分數: 68.0建議: Organize the answer with a clear topic sentence and two specific conditions (when careful reading is needed and when scanning is fine). Use linking words like "when" and "but" and avoid repetition and unclear phrases. Improve grammar ("non academic" → "non-academic"; simplify "which what they call scanning").
範例: I read carefully when I need to understand important information or when a key scene approaches in a book. But for routine or less important sections, I usually scan the text to get the main idea quickly.
Do you prefer scanning or detailed reading?
分數: 74.0建議: Be concise and use precise phrasing. Start with a clear stance, then give two specific examples with linking words like "for example" or "however." Remove repeated words and improve grammar ("detailed reading" rather than "detailed information").
範例: It depends. For academic texts I prefer detailed reading because I need to understand facts and arguments; however, for most fiction I scan to move quickly through less important passages.
× Absolutely, I definitely like reading, it's one of my common hobbies in my free time and I like reading.
✓ Absolutely, I definitely like reading; it's one of my common hobbies in my free time.
Redundant phrasing 'I definitely like' and repeated 'I like reading' is stylistically awkward. Remove the repetition to make the sentence concise and natural. Use a semicolon or period to separate independent clauses rather than a comma splice.
× Umm to be specific, fiction books and for example the George RR Martin.
✓ Umm, to be specific, I mean fiction books; for example, George R.R. Martin's works.
Original is a sentence fragment lacking a verb and has awkward word order. Add 'I mean' and a verb structure, and use possessive 'George R.R. Martin's works' to clarify reference. Also add commas for clarity.
× The Song of Ice and Fire is one of my favorite books.
✓ A Song of Ice and Fire is one of my favorite series.
The student referred to a series of books. 'The Song of Ice and Fire' is a series, so 'books' is inaccurate. Use 'series' or 'books' with plural agreement. Also 'A Song of Ice and Fire' or 'The A Song of Ice and Fire series' is more precise.
× To be honest, I prefer reading on paper because it has a special vibe.
✓ To be honest, I prefer reading on paper because it has a special vibe.
Sentence is acceptable; no preposition error. No correction necessary. (Included to show checked item.)
× It gives me the narrator vibe and like I'm the one who created this story.
✓ It gives me a narrator-like vibe, as if I'm the one who created the story.
Use 'a narrator-like vibe' or 'a feeling of being the narrator' instead of 'the narrator vibe'. 'Like' used as a filler should be replaced with 'as if' for a clearer comparison.
× However, recently I've been reading on the screen because I'm usually reading while I'm on line on my bed, so I'm reading while I'm on my phone in the bed.
✓ However, recently I've been reading on a screen because I usually read on my phone while lying in bed.
Original is wordy and contains awkward expressions 'on line on my bed' and repetition. Use 'on a screen' and 'read on my phone while lying in bed' for concise, natural phrasing.
× If you are talking about non academic books and and fiction non fiction books I would say I'm reading carefully when the part which I'm waiting for comes, but when it's just a normal part I'm just reading and which what they call scanning.
✓ If you are talking about non-academic books, both fiction and non-fiction, I would say I read carefully when the part I'm waiting for comes, but when it's just a normal part I just skim, which is what they call scanning.
Several issues: missing hyphen in 'non-academic', redundant 'and and', awkward noun ordering 'fiction non fiction books'. Pronoun 'which' misused; simplify with 'the part I'm waiting for'. Replace 'I'm reading carefully' with simple present 'I read carefully' for habitual action. Use 'skim' or 'scan' correctly.
× But when the important part comes I'm trying to focus more to get more information.
✓ But when an important part comes, I try to focus more to get more information.
Tense and adverb placement: use simple present 'I try' for habitual actions instead of present continuous 'I'm trying'. Place commas after introductory clause. 'More' should be placed after 'focus' or use 'focus more' as corrected.
× As I mentioned earlier, it depends on what I'm reading.
✓ As I mentioned earlier, it depends on what I read.
For general habitual statements use simple present 'what I read' rather than present continuous 'what I'm reading'. Present continuous suggests an action occurring right now, but preference is general.
× If I'm reading an academic book and something which I want to get useful information, I'm reading the detailed information.
✓ If I am reading an academic book and want to get useful information, I read the details carefully.
Use simple present 'I am reading' only for current actions; for general habits choose simple present 'I read'. Also fix noun phrase 'something which I want to get useful information' to 'want to get useful information' and use 'read the details carefully' instead of awkward 'reading the detailed information'.
× But if I'm reading some fiction, then I'm just scanning usually the text and usually this is what I'm doing.
✓ But if I read fiction, I usually just scan the text; that's what I do.
For habitual activities use simple present 'I read' and 'I usually scan'. Avoid repetitive 'usually' and awkward word order 'scanning usually the text'. Simplify to natural adverb placement before the verb or after the auxiliary.
