Part 1
考官
Do you like shopping?
考生
Yes, I genuinely enjoy shopping. In fact, I often find myself ordering something online late at night, especially when I'm suffering from insomnia or when I stressed out. Umm. I get such a thrill when I unboxing the stuff that I order online.
考官
Do you compare prices when you shop? Why?
考生
Why yes. In fact, I don't always compare the prices, but I often go through the feedback section of each product. In that way, I can get the best items within the price range that I can afford. Uh, there is an application which is specifically designed to, uh, help consumers to do that comparison. I think it's convenient.
考官
Is it difficult for you to make choices when you shop?
考生
While it's not hard for me to make a decision when I shop online, since I have a genuine idea about which platform offers quality goods and which platform offers cheaper options, I can usually narrow it down and make a final call in 15 minutes.
考官
Do you think expensive products are always better than cheaper ones?
考生
Well I don't agree on expensive products are always better than the cheaper ones, but most of the times the expensive ones are the ones come with the good quality. So if I buy something for the long term I will splurge on something a bit pricier such as jacket or shoes. But if I buy something like AT shirt I would definitely go for cheaper ones.
Do you like shopping?
可以用更准确的搭配(例如“when I’m stressed”而不是“when I stressed out”),并用现在完成或一般现在时保持一致。
Yes, I enjoy shopping, especially online. For example, I often browse late at night when I can’t sleep, and I sometimes buy small items like phone accessories. I particularly enjoy unboxing new purchases because it feels exciting and satisfying.
Do you compare prices when you shop? Why?
Yes, I do compare prices, because I want good value for money. I usually read product reviews and use a price-comparison app to check different sellers, so I can choose the best option within my budget.
Is it difficult for you to make choices when you shop?
Not usually. I know which platforms sell good-quality items and which are cheaper, so I can shortlist a few options quickly. For instance, I compare ratings and delivery time and usually make a decision within 15 minutes.
Do you think expensive products are always better than cheaper ones?
分數: 76.0建議: 观点明确且包含个人选择,但语法问题较多(如“don't agree on”应为“don't agree that”或“don't think”;“the ones come with the good quality”应为“they often have better quality”)。
I don't think expensive items are always better, but they often have higher quality. For example, I would pay more for a leather jacket or running shoes that I need to last several years, while I’d buy a cheap T-shirt for everyday wear.
× I often find myself ordering something online late at night, especially when I'm suffering from insomnia or when I stressed out.
✓ I often find myself ordering something online late at night, especially when I'm suffering from insomnia or when I'm stressed out.
短语“when I stressed out”缺少助动词或be动词,应为“when I'm stressed out”或“when I get stressed out”,以保持与前半句同为现在的持续或重复状态。建议在表达当前或反复发生的状态时使用现在时态或现在进行时的结构,如“I'm stressed out”或“I get stressed out”。
× I get such a thrill when I unboxing the stuff that I order online.
✓ I get such a thrill when I unbox the stuff that I order online.
× Why yes. In fact, I don't always compare the prices, but I often go through the feedback section of each product.
✓ Why, yes. In fact, I don't always compare the prices, but I often go through the feedback section for each product.
短语“feedback section of each product”在英语中更常用的搭配是“feedback section for each product”或“feedback section on each product”。
× Uh, there is an application which is specifically designed to, uh, help consumers to do that comparison.
✓ Uh, there is an application that is specifically designed to help consumers do that comparison.
原句中“which is specifically designed to, uh, help consumers to do that comparison”中有多余的“to”不定式标记和不必要的逗断,且在定语从句中用“that”或“which”皆可,但更简洁的表达是去掉第二个“to”。建议说“designed to help consumers do...”而不是“designed to help consumers to do...”。
× While it's not hard for me to make a decision when I shop online, since I have a genuine idea about which platform offers quality goods and which platform offers cheaper options, I can usually narrow it down and make a final call in 15 minutes.
✓ While it's not hard for me to make a decision when I shop online, since I have a good idea about which platform offers quality goods and which platform offers cheaper options, I can usually narrow it down and make a final decision in 15 minutes.
“genuine idea”不自然,常用表达是“a good idea”;“make a final call”虽可用但在正式场景更自然的是“make a final decision”。
× Well I don't agree on expensive products are always better than the cheaper ones, but most of the times the expensive ones are the ones come with the good quality.
✓ Well, I don't agree that expensive products are always better than cheaper ones, but most of the time the expensive ones are the ones that come with good quality.
首先“agree on”在表达“我不同意某观点”时应使用“agree that”来引导从句;“most of the times”应为“most of the time”或“most times”;“the ones come with the good quality”缺少关系代词和不必要的定冠词,正确应为“the ones that come with good quality”。建议使用固定搭配:“I don't agree that...”,“most of the time”,“that come with good quality”。
× So if I buy something for the long term I will splurge on something a bit pricier such as jacket or shoes.
✓ So if I buy something for the long term I will splurge on something a bit pricier, such as a jacket or shoes.
× But if I buy something like AT shirt I would definitely go for cheaper ones.
✓ But if I buy something like a T-shirt I would definitely go for cheaper ones.
